Grades K-3 These excellent additions to the Little People, Big Dreams series (6 new titles) follow incredible individuals who overcame challenges and embraced differences to reach their dreams and help others. Stevie Wonder follows the incredible life of this talented musician, who signed a record contract at 11 years old, topped music charts, and worked to help those with sensory, mental, and physical conditions. Each title contains vibrant, warm, and lively illustrations that perfectly correspond with the personality and life of the biography's subject. The books conclude with a time line featuring photographs and additional information about the featured individual. Great additions to this biographical series for young children.

This picture-book biography focuses on the blind musical prodigy's rise to superstardom. Per the series's formula, Vegara breezes through some highlights from the musician/composer/singer's life and career, from signing with Motown at eleven to being named the United Nations' 2009 "Messenger of Peace." The cheery cartoon illustrations are a good match for the accessible text. Back matter includes four photos, a simple timeline, more biographical information, and two recommended books.
