This is the fourth installment in the series Abram's Daughters, set in the Amish country of Pennsylvania during the 1950s. The author, who was born and raised in Pennsylvania Dutch country, provides insight into the everyday trials and tribulations of the Plain Folk, which are often not so different from those of the Englishers. Christina Moore delivers the story in a no-frills, no-nonsense manner, which sets the tone for the listener to enter into the plain life of the Amish. The story line is simple, yet it manages to weave in inspirational life lessons. Fans of the Amish way of life will want to hear the other stories about the Ebersol family from Gobblers Knob. S.K.P.
